Hi, I'm Laura.
I build the businesses behind the brilliant people.

Before The Ops House, I spent two decades embedded in fast-growth businesses, doing the work most people don't see: building the operational and people infrastructure that lets companies scale without falling apart. Not admin. Not process for its own sake. The structural, human, commercial work that determines whether a brilliant business actually becomes a great one.

My background is People Operations at seed and Series A stage, which means I've spent my career understanding how humans inside organisations actually work, not how they're supposed to work in theory. I've scaled teams from 17 to 60 in twelve months. I've managed restructures and funding rounds without losing what made the company worth scaling. I've led internal communications through a 700-to-16,000 person merger. I know exactly what breaks at speed and why, and I know how to stop it.

What I do now is apply that same lens to solo businesses. My clients are brilliant at their core work. What they need is someone who can see the whole picture, diagnose what's actually wrong, and stay to build the solution. That's not a VA. It's not coaching. It's something much closer to having a co-founder who understands strategy, people, operations and commercial outcomes equally, and who won't let you off the hook.
